Ok some of you are having issues and I am not so I prepared some captures of Windows color management settings, CorelDRAW default application settings and CorelDRAW document settings.
Unfortunately using some settings in the past may have created a situation where the files view in 2019 incorrectly no matter what you do so. My suggestion is to set Windows color management settings and then reboot the machine, the set CorelDRAW and Photo-PAINT color management settings.
CAVEAT!
When using edit bitmap in CorelDRAW to edit an image before choosing edit bitmap make sure you have saved your working CorelDRAW file and HAVE EMBEDDED THE ICC PROFILE! Other wise PP has no idea what profile to use and will default to the default PP color management settings.
Create a document using the new document dialog in CD it should follow the application default setting if not make sure the color management settings match the application settings ad something, name, save and EMBEDD THE ICC PROFILE.
Check your previews and how the file opens. Check an old file that previewed incorrectly and let me know please.
What's OEM?
In Colins properties dialog, second line in parentheses you'll see OEM (original equipment manufacturer) I'm not sure that Ronny's dialog says that. As far as I've tested that AOC profile is screed up.
"As far as I've tested that AOC profile is screed up"
Is there anything I can do, short of getting a new monitor?
I'm not trying to come off like a whiny little Bi$#h but to give you good information and I believe you deserve good information is complicated and for the next couple days with work and my upcoming knee surgery I'm tied up. So 1, I do not think that buying a new monitor is a solution, but depending on what you want for your future use it may be. 2 getting to understand the process will resolve the white point shift that your monitor profile has. 3 using that knowledge will allow you to choose a path that fits your needs and budget, I'm looking at anywhere from, ( $0 for removal of white point and standard quality), $175 ( fixing white point and an improved quality) to leading edge technology and quality $6,000.
So watch for a post in the next 3 or 4 days that will link to 2 bits of information, one to make Windows CM work first then one to make CD CM work with a follow up on how to address color in files that may have gotten screwed up.
Thank you so much David. Your work and knee (hope the op works well) are far more important, so only when you're ready. I'm getting by with my workload fine on 2018 and when I need the new 2019 features, on the laptop. As i've said before I'm just grateful you're taking the time with someone who you've probably decided is a bit of a dunderhead. Trouble is I drive the car well enough but have only a disgracefully sketchy idea of what goes on under the bonnet! BTW, like most folk, my budget and needs are quite a long way apart, with the former regrettably at the wrong end of the scale!
Have a good Easter
All the best, Colin
