Hello,
I am running Corel Draw 2019 on Windows 10 and have yet come across another mind-numbing issue. I am working in a file just fine, then I perform an action, such as import or transparency, and I get the spinney wheel of death. Go to Task manager and Corel is not responding. Sometimes it will eventually perform the action after an extended period of time (4-5 minuets) or nothing at all. Force quit. Save Auto backup of file when I reopen the program and then every action takes forever, if at all. This is very frustrating. Any insight would be most helpful. Thank you!
I am gonna say Congratulations, Corel! You have finally managed to beat Adobe by the # of shenanigans your software can produce. I have been true Corel user since like 1996 and I still am, but OMFG this latest version is THE WORST so far. So many bugs and crashes and other nonsenses. It is very annoying when I have to restart the program every 20 min or so. Just to name a few... working with raster images in wireframe mode = I want to kill myself; the workspace freezing and not refreshing issues have not been fixed since like 2017 version( I tried to work with Corel support on this... basically they do not know what is going on); no multi-core and multithreaded processor support... really Corel? Specs: AMD RYzen 7, 8GB RAM (I need more for multi-application workflow, but should be more than enough for Corel only), GTX 1060, SSD.
Last year version was way more stable. And yes, I am here just to rant because I cannot take this crap anymore... not for this kind of money.
You are right about that. I keep going back to CD5, it was the only one I didn't give away after updating. I got my money back on 2017, didn't try 2018 and now this has to be the worst and I can't get my money back. I waited too long thinking I needed more HD space and more RAM. So out of luck and there has been ZERO support even though I have been contacting them since May5th. I will contact them everyday if I have too. After I installed Win 10 my CD5 started crashing or really just "not responding" so I got this new version and it is doing the same thing. I just tried to delete and retype 5 letters and it took a good 3 minutes for the old text to delete and then another 3 minutes for the new text to show up. I also didn't realize that the new graph lines only show up on the paper not the desktop. Since I use this on the desktop so as not to mess with what I have already finish on my paper this is really annoying. I have to move everything onto the desk top and work on the paper then move it all back.I might be forced to use Adobe again. I still have my CC6.

I don't know what you mean when you write, "new graph lines". Could you explain more? Perhaps show a screenshot of the problem?
I mean the icon I check for graph paper. On my old draw it puts the graph on the whole desktop on the 2019 it only shows up on the outline of the paper you are using. Since I am making patterns that need to be exact I like to do that on the desktop of Corel and then move the finished pattern piece to the paper as it would print This is the old version

Do you think it's possible that you aren't seeing the document grid on the desktop because your desktop color is the same - or very nearly the same - as the color of the grid?
Have you tried changing the color of the desktop? I have a much lighter colored desktop, and I can see the grid on it.
Wow what were the chances of that. It must have been exact because I looked at the monitor really close but when I turned the desktop green it showed up.
So maybe you can solve another problem. I don't have the "CorelDraw" option under my Tools menu. It seems I must have deleted it while doing my custom tool bars. I see it when I am on the default desktop . I really wanted to go straight to a new blank page but with out that option on my custom desktop I am stuck with the welcome screen or I have to try and start over with my custom desktop.

You can use workspace customization to add commands to menus. Here's a video where I first remove CorelDRAW options from that menu, then add it to that menu:
VIDEO: Add CorelDRAW Options
If you are not referring to that flyout, but instead to the Tools>Options menu, well, commands can be added to those menus also.
Did you start with the default 2019 workspace, and then modify it? Or did you import a workspace from an earlier version of CorelDRAW?
Thank you so much for the video. I got it back in the menu. You are fast becoming my hero! I was finally given a MS thing to install by Corel Support and told it after a reboot it didn't help they would escalate my ticket to Level 2. Maybe I need a new graphics card?? I found out that I can't do a video with the one I have now.
I'm glad to hear that the information helped you to get CorelDRAW options back in your workspace.
Yes, video is useful for that sort of thing; much easier than trying to communicate everything with text and screenshots.
