II'd like to know the whole process when a new version of CorelDraw is made nowadays.
Why are some features disabled or missing that were working previously sometimes?
I don't need proprietary details, just want to know how Corel puts out a new version every year.

Do you really think that it's possible to cover the entire process from a new version, in a simple forum reply?
I have been using and testing Draw suite for too many years to count. I cannot say a word about the working process of assembly and testing but I can agree with Dave M above, I have no idea where their concepts come from or why things change and get replaced. Makes less than no sense to me. Whom ever comes up with this stuff clearly to me has no idea of how it will be used.
I love the product, it has done wonders for my business and that is why I spend time testing and hoping to contribute to improvement. .
Great question, I have no idea.

I believe the best way is that you sign up as beta-tester and talk directly with developers.
Of course we can't bring details about the process, but it's not a "one-year" development for all features
