Over the years I have acquired thousands of fonts, a lot of them are duplicated as in a version ttf and a version otf. I want to clean out, so my question is which type is the best to work with?
OTF can have variants of chars. If it has Corel shows a tiny triangle below the selected char or word and you can choose, e.g. some extra decorative stroke for the first char of a word. To my knowledge TTF doesn't have room for these stylistic sets.
Thank you Markus, I've not noticed the triangle before, I will be sure to look, in the meantime I can unclutter my fonts folder by removing ttf duplicates of otf fonts. I have used Corel since version 3 and still delight in finding things I didn't know.
