Just wondering is anyone else having this problem...
I create a multi-page document... for instance lets say a Mass Booklet.
When editing the document pages, some of the pages move out of sync, ie. page 6 moved to page 8, etc...Any suggestions? Designed a 44 page book today, emailed the customer the proof... 8 of the pages had moved page position.
I have a 50+ page file. About 27-30 of the pages are threaded text. I noticed pages in the threaded text moving around. I corrected this with the page sorter but it keeps happening. I contacted technical support, got an issue number. I submitted a PDF showing a couple of screen shots. We were to connect via phone and I would set up a time and they would fail to call. I finally ported my file back to X8 where it works fine. I guess I will have to wait for a service patch because I certainly cannot risk having skewed about pages.
I feel your pain. I had 5 pages of threaded text. After a few edits, page 3 became page 2, page 5 was page 3, and page 4 became page 5. I only had 5 pages. Just text. Got so frustrated that I just exported the file as a pdf, and re arranged the pages Acrobat pro. It was the quickest way to take care of my issue.
Hi,just find confirmed in yr post that it aöso happens with mutipages < than 10 pages. So the problem is persistent. No reaction from Corel. Ok. Have done same and reordered in Acrobat. But this is really more than a sad workaround.
Believe it or not. Just woke my computer up. Clicked on Corel. File was open overnight. In a manual I was working on, page 10 became page 15. I wasn't even working on it overnight! Pages were correct before I left to go home. This is so sad. If Corel is now owned by KKR, they better be get going on solving the issue, or Corel will REALLY not be making any money off their flagship program.
Check my new post about same page moving issue in X8. Legacy bug?
Read your post. If the issue carried over from 2019 (ORIGINAL FILE) to the version X8 you saved as, then I can assume the issue started with the original program it was saved from. If so, then one could even take their 2019 file, save as a version x5, and still have the issue. The bug started with the original program 2019. I am willing to bet, that if you just made the file in X18 you would be fine.
You may be exactly right. Hard to know. However, the file was originally created in X8. I ported it to 2019 when I bought that version. It was only after that move did I note pages moving.
The files I created were created in 2019, but did uses some pages/image/info from older Corel files. Might be a legacy issue, but once opened in 2019 the file becomes a bug that wont go away.
