Just wondering is anyone else having this problem...
I create a multi-page document... for instance lets say a Mass Booklet.
When editing the document pages, some of the pages move out of sync, ie. page 6 moved to page 8, etc...Any suggestions? Designed a 44 page book today, emailed the customer the proof... 8 of the pages had moved page position.
For those of you having issues with pages jumping around: Try to avoid clicking page tabs that are near the ends of the page tab bar, i.e. next to (or partly hidden under) the page navigator field to the left or the scroll bar to the right. In my tests I was sometimes able to make pages move when clicking on these tabs. When clicking on a two digit page tab (10 or higher) the tab bar moves a little, and if we click near the end of the tab bar at the same time, the click instead becomes a drag, and the page tab jumps to a new position.Seems to be at least one reason why pages suddenly swap places.
That could be. I have done this. But the randomly moving pages are those, for me at least, are not even being worked on, or displayed in the tabs at the time. How I got my manual files set up is a "template". Things like warranty, inspection pages, weld directions don't change. They are pretty standard. The majority of pages I work on is only about 3-5 pages where I show the assembly of a product. I use the "Go To Page" window to go directly to the page I want, Page sorter view, and the arrows in the lower left of the window to navigate pages. If I use the tabs, it is only for those 3 to 10 pages the tabs displayed. The pages that move are the pages I don't work on. For example, I finish the images in the second to last page. I hit the arrow to take me to the first page. I use the arrows to go through the manual page by page, and the one I worked on is now the last. The last is now the third to last, and a form for visual inspection is switched with another. I didn't even touch those pages. Can I recreate, no. It happens at random. I've had no page moving issues with any previous Corel Version. I have been using Corel Draw since 2002.
This is just one of several issues with multi page documents. I have several very large (>3GB) multi page files and occasionally the Odd or Even master pages are changed to 'Do not print' on a few pages in the document. No rhyme or reason to when of which pages lose their page numbers and as it is the print option they look OK on screen, you don't know about it until you have done the print.
