Help Please!
I just purchased a new computer with Windows 10 Pro and installed a fresh Corel 2019 Graphics Suite.
I'm trying (with no luck) to install the latest version of the Eye Candy Plugin for use in Corel Photo Paint. I've used Eye Candy since X14 (I think) and it has always worked great however I always had to do a custom install to get it to work right. Following online instructions, once I even had to find and load a certain .dll file (? I think that's the extension) on my computer.
Well, the new install works fine ONCE then doesn't work again after that.
Has anyone successfully loaded and used Eye Candy in Corel Photo Paint 2019???
Can you help me out?
Thanks.
Kirk
Hi Kirk,
Which Eye Candy Plug-in did you install 32 or 64-bit? Which version did you install (https://www.alienskin.com/eyecandy/) ? version 7 ?
Where did you install it?
No issues here using Eye Candy version 7 (64-bit) on Windows 10 (64-bit) in PP 2019 (64-bit)
I installed the 64 bit version. As per instructions I found on line I created did a custom install to a file folder I created: "64 bit plugins" on my C: drive.
After it didn't work, I also tried installing the .dll file in the folder holding eye candy. This was a missing file that had to be included in the folder in an earlier version of Eye Candy. Didn't help.
So strange that it works once then not again. I assumed Alien Skin pulled the plug on Corel Products. I'm encouraged knowing that it works for you!
Just had an Alien Skin support tech log onto my system and attempt to install and use Eye Candy with Corel Photo Paint 2019 and he also verified that it wouldn't work.
Are you sure you are in 2019 and not a different version?
The EyeCandy 64-bit plug-in must be installed in C:\Program Files\Corel\Plugins folder
Thanks Eric but it still doesn't work. Did you try using eye candy more than once because it will open the first time you try it. But if you close Photo Paint and attempt to use the plugin again it doesn't work.
