I'm still using X6 with no service packs because of the Eula change.. My wife has been trialing 2019 because she found X6 impossible to use on Windows 10 with a 4k monitor.. The menus are white on white and everything is tiny. If anyone know a solution to these problems we would be very glad to hear it. Meanwhile, how to disable the welcome screen on Coreldraw 2019? I presume it insists on periodically connecting to the internet to keep the program activated. How long can it be kept offline before this happens? And I'm still confused about "upgrade protection". What exactly is it? Thanks

Display of the Welcome Screen can be changed in CorelDRAW Options>General>Getting Started:
This is my problem. This isn't the same choice I have. It looks like all of those from before x19. So how do I disable this welcome screen in X19? It makes opening the program so slow and with all the times I've had to use ctrl-alt-del because a tool or menu was stuck having to wait for this slooow open isn't fun. It wouldn't even be bad but it is just running up grade ads. After waiting a year for Corel to get X19 updated I don't think I will be buying it again until all the bugs in X19 are fixed and I can start to use what I paid for.
First of all, there's not exist such as version X19.
Maybe you mean CorelDRAW 2019, version 21.0, ot maybe you mean CorelDRAW 2017, version 19.0
The way to disable is the same, go to Tools menu / options and disable it.
Almost all bugs, at least the most relevants, were already fixed. You should install the upgrades.
