This may be a legacy bug. I saved my file back to X8 which was the last version I owned before 2019 - which I purchased when I got a new computer. My file has about 70 pages in it. I noticed that one of the pages moved - just a couple of pages back - in X8. That was last week. I fixed that with Page Sorter. Yesterday it had moved again. I know nobody wants to hear this. I am retired and this is the first really long document I have worked in since perhaps X4. I don't remember ever having this issue in any version of Draw - and I have been around since version 3. The only long files I ever worked in in version X8 were about 12-20 pages long and I never experienced this issue. However, I was on an older computer with those files - one that will no longer take the windows updates. That is why I bought this new one. Could this be the "variable factor" causing this issue - my new machine?
Sharon: Primarily I navigate by merely using the page navigator at the bottom of the screen. Sometimes I click and tell it which page I need to go to. Sometimes I use the page up/down buttons. I have wondered if I have unknowingly moved pages with the navigator buttons at the bottom but I was not aware that it is possible to do that. Funny that it is usually pages I am not working on that move. Never more than a couple of pages away. I use the page sorter to correct the problem. I was actually very surprised when a page moved in X8 as I have never experienced anything with that version. Now when I work in the file, at the end of my session I go from beginning to end to make sure nothing is where it should not be.
Sharon many times it's not a matter of navigation it's a simple close and pen the file issue. Have 2019 document that's correct close it, reopen it and it's wrong.
Not Tommy, obviously, but wanted to throw in how the issue is done on my system. I open a document consisting of more than 5 pages up to 50 pages. Pages get messed up. usually 2 or 3 pages get swapped around, but I only opened the document. I see the moved pages by going into the Page Sorter View, or by using the page navigation toolbar in the bottom left. After working on 1 page I can go into Page Sorter, and see that pages I wasn't working on got moved. Sometimes the same pages as before. This happens on multiple documents, both legacy and new. If this doesn't get resolved, Corel at my office will be used as just a graphics program. Any multiple page document of more the 3 pages will be created in Microsoft Word. This is bad, because being able to freely work on multiple pages is a great draw to the program.
All I can say is that I've been doing multipage documents in CorelDRAW for decades and I never had thsi issue until 2019.
Interesting that once I get a file cleaned up I can't make it happen.
