I have a corrupt filel. it was working fine earlier today and now it's corrupt. Can someone help me? This had a lot of work in it.
Have you tried the Backup_of file?
no...turned that off. I didn't think I needed the backup files for several years but now I'm thinking I should.

Having a backup file can be better than nothing, but I would not want to depend on that as my only option for something where I had a lot of time invested.
I would rather run a FreeFileSync batch job occasionally to maintain a mirror of ALL of the assets I'm working with. When it updates the mirror, it can save time-stamped copies of any files that were changed or deleted during the update.
I hear ya Eski. The thing is, I already saved a duplicate of the file to a server so even that file was severely corrupt to the point of crashing coreldraw. Something happened during the workflow and I can't pinpoint an actual culprit but it will bother me until I find it. Was it a bad font, perspective effect applied to vector & bitmap grouped objects...etc?
The "all or nothing" thing is a killer on stuff such as this.

That's where the "mirror with versions" approach is a lifesaver. It's too easy to have "one backup" that is just as messed up as the working copy.
