This has bugged me for a long time. When ever I make a PDF from a CorelDraw file (which is many times a day), the PDF generates just fine, but then just goes happily to the folder, and I have to actually go to file explorer and open it from there. May not seem like a big deal, but trust me, do it 150 times a day, and it becomes a big deal.
Every other program I use, whether it's MSWord, Adobe Illustrator, Solidworks, WHATEVER. . . when I generate the PDF it OPENS when it's done generating. I don't have to go surfing for it, and I can check it right there to be sure it's what I need.
Why, oh why, can I not make this happen with Corel?
I've checked every Adobe setting, every Corel setting, and I cannot find the simple "Open when Generated". Heck, it doesn't even let me know it's done generating! I have to have file explorer open, and watch the file size go from 0 to whatever to know that it's done. I've tried both Save As, and Print to, and nothing.
Am I the only one who has this issue??
Thanks.
No, I haven't seen such a setting in Draw. The easiest workaround is probably to open the Publish to PDF dialog again (which should be the same folder where you last saved), right click the PDF and choose "Read", or "Open with..."
That's the same as opening it from the explorer. Which is what I do. The publish to PDF dialog in X9 seems to be exactly the same as "Settings" when I go to save the file. Seems such a simple thing, doesn't it?
