Just getting started in screen printing as a hobby. I just purchased CorelDraw graphics suite 2019 and was wondering if I need to purchase separation software (AccuRip, Simple Sep) to print films for screen printing T-shirts, hats, jackets, etc. or if CDR 2019 has it built in to the program?
You don't have to but if you're looking to do volume it's a good idea. Also you may want to look into a digital print solution.
Thank you, what is digital print solution?
In the USA many tshirt printers are augmenting their screen print with an Epson or a Brothers (there are many others) tshirt printer. Thet print from an RGB image. Short run, cost effective and high quality.
Thanks David, that sounds interesting, I'll have to look into that. Do you know if I need to purchase the DMax ink for my Canon printer to print film positives, or can I just use the canon ink cartridges?
Each manufacturer has their process. I recommend that you study long and hard and use their recommended process. As an example I was getting seriously into color management after lots of study I used the the Xr8te process but the one Spectrophotimer that they sold but did not mention, it did all three required operations and was $3,000 less 5hen there three that wanted to sell.
