I cannot deselect all of the three options in this panel or in the toolbar , I wonder what I am doing wrong.
Thanks for any help
Convert the rectangle to a curve (CTRL+Q, or...Object menu>Convert to Curve). I know that sounds strange, but essentially when you are drawing with any of the shape tools (Ellipse, Rectangle, etc.) you remain in "shape mode" until you convert the object to curves. What you are seeing on the Property bar is corner shaping, which is only available when you are in "shape mode."Patti
You are in the "Normal" corner mode already. If you have 0 size in the inputs then you have square corners. As Patti explains the little icon is irrelevant unless you select the shape tool.
Thanks so far but I am afraid I have to explain a bit more:
The option is already set when I start a new project (so it seems to be a default). So when I select a new rectangle shape it always has one rounded corner.
Corner roundness is a tool setting that is kept between sessions. You can not deselect all three corner options, one of them will always be active. Here's how to fix the rounded corner issue and return to pointy corners:Open or create a document and make sure nothing is selected.Select the Rectangle tool but do not click in the drawing area.Unlock the "Edit corners together" padlock in Property Bar.Highlight the upper right corner box, type "0" and hit Enter.Lock the padlock again (optional). From now on, all new rectangles should have four pointy corners.
That did the job! Thanks for your help.
