It's probably something quite simple. Hope so anyhow.
A few versions back when I entered a custom size for text (say 37.5 points) that figure was retained in the size drop down box while I had that file remained open.
That feature no longer is there in 2018 or later.
How do I get it back?
Thanks
Here's one previous discussion of this topic:
Used font sizes are not shown in the font size drop down menu of Corel Draw 2018.
Sorry; no encouraging news there, at least with respect to the specific capability you are missing.
Aside from the change to no longer remembering "non-standard-list" font sizes used during a session, I'm also not aware of any place where the "standard" list could be edited by a user. That might be in a configuration file somewhere, and if so, I'd love to know about it. The drop-down lists for outline widths, for example, come from a plain text file.
Thanks Eskimo.
I too looked everywhere before posting and could find nothing. I've tried Object Styles on text, as suggested in the other post, but find it quite limited compared to the old feature. That may well be because I haven't given it enough time yet and need more practice.
I can understand Corel dropping something if a better and faster feature is substituted but it doesn't seem the case here.
I compile a number of multi page documents and often need to tweak text sizes to make things fit. As such the old system was really useful for unifying contents.
Hopefully someone has discovered something that I've missed.
There are often multiple ways of doing things, but I don't think that you have necessarily "missed something". Plain and simple, they took away a capability that was very useful in some situations. A drop-down list that can remember recently-used values is, IMHO, a killer feature!
As a general question: How do you feel about using macros?
I like to be aware of ways to do things using CorelDRAW's built-in tools, but for some tasks, they fall short enough that I'm willing to consider other options.
I've used macros in the past, though, I must admit, not always with unalloyed success. Is there one that would replicate the "custom text memory" feature? Be very useful if there was and certainly worth a try.
Thanks again.
I don't have any macros at the moment that would do exactly that task, but I think that it might be possible to build something to address such a need.
If I tried to do that, I wouldn't be starting entirely "from scratch". I already have macros that modify text shapes, and I have code for managing comboboxes that allows them to have user-customizable value lists.
I've recorded and assigned simple macros before nothing as potentially complicated as this. No idea where to begin...

I wasn't suggesting that you try to write something to do this. I asked about your general feelings about macros to find out whether you were receptive to the idea of using them. Some people are not, and I am in general not going to expend much effort trying to change their mind - so I ask.
If you want to see some examples of the sort of macros I write, see my blog:
