I noticed in the latest advertisement drive that Coreldraw 2020 has the option of a box set for the full version. I presume that includes the hard disc. I thought Corel had dropped dvds in favour of download, along with upgrades.
What's the general feedback on 2020? Is it better than the previous one - ie 2019 that actually works. I really appreciated some of the new features in 2019 but had to give up using the programme after it proved so unreliable.

Can you explain exactly what you mean with this? Thx.
The features that are very useful to my workflow are the non-destructive effects. Unfortunately the programme crashed all the time, and without any warning, costing me a lot of time and work. The occurrences were so bad that I was forced to set saving to every 5 minutes, which in itself proved a hindrance.
I've long been accustomed to occasional crashes in Coreldraw - a more than acceptable trade-off for a fabulous bit of software, but the frequency in 2019 exceeded, by far, anything experienced in previous versions. I've tried all the standard fixes right up to re-installment but to no avail; the 3 updates doing nothing to improve stability.
I've been a Coreldraw user since version 9 and have never experienced such a level of unreliability. Judging by the number of complaints in the forum I'm hardly alone in my disquiet.
I met this crashing issue with non-destructive effect when i have used the Motion Blur: Direction:90. Honestly, i did not tried all effects, just some of them. Have you met crashing problems with all non-destructive effects or just with some of them?
Sorry, I obviously wasn't too clear. My problems weren't specifically with the non-destructive effects; the crashing occurred across the board.
If I felt 2020 was reliable, I might well consider purchasing it, but not unless I could be reasonably confident that the 2019 bugs had been resolved in 2020. I won't be throwing good money after bad, especially with the outrageous abandonment of upgrades.

Ok. Where you met crashing issues in CorelDraw2019?
To repeat, "across the board". 2019 crashes on all sorts of projects - complex and simple, single and multi page documents. No trigger that I can see - it just blinks out for no apparent reason.
I've always suspected the download came down incomplete. I've always previously opted for the box set and disc before; hence my initial inquiry. I had problems with the colour of the 2019 workspace from the very start. No adjustments worked and it was only with the very ind guidance of David Millstock that I got the correct workspace, but only at the expense of having to OK the Colour profile mismatch panel (see below)every time I open or import a file.
Thank you for the clear message. Really interesting what you say. Honestly, i met a few crashings in CorelDraw 2019: 1. Motion Blur:Direction:90, 2. Paragraph Text columns: when i changed the Gutter value. And other few crashings occasionally by my mistake. I have worked on multipage project(60 pages) no crashings, no page movings.
I'm not an expert in Color Management, but the colors look's ok here and i not met Color Management problems at imported files as you shown here. I asked you because I wanted to know your experience in CorelDraw2019.I use daily CorelDraw2019, yes i have a list with bugs here what were not fixed, but....
Thank you for your continued input.
I too experienced a crash when attempting the 90 degree Motion Blur but was OK with the paragraph text. I've always been curious as to why some bugs appear general yet others are only experienced by a few users. I'd be really interested in any other actions in which you've had crashes.
I wonder if it's my machines at fault or conflicting programmes or devices are interfering with Coreldraw's smooth running. .

It is possible that these are the sources of problems. This is my opinion, maybe i'm wrong. On my pc i use CorelDraw , vlc media player and a few softwares from Windows 10. Windows Security is my security software, i did not installed other security software or game softwares, etc. As i wrote, i met just two permanent crashing issues in CorelDraw 2019.
Yes I think that could well be the problem. I've loaded 2019 onto our laptop, that has very few other programmes on it, and there were no colour management issues. I probably need to give the PC a good clean out.
Seems strange though that there's no problems with other software (Xara, Word, Serif) . Perhaps the more features Corel adds with each new version makes it increasingly vulnerable and generally less robust. Literally over-egging the pudding.
