I work with a company that bought several licenses and they are all legit. I checked the license key used for the coworker that got the warning and it's legit. Does anyone know what might have caused this false pirated copy warning?
I clean installed CDR and all is good but the IT manager wants to know why this happened.
anyone have this issue before?
I have no answer for you but I believe I've read about it here before, somewhere.Do a search in the 2019 and 2020 forums.
Many pirated software come with efficient versions out there!!! Maybe a pirated copy of the program obtained an identical serial number as yours from an automatic serial genrerating tool.I suggest you to contact Corel. Either by CHAT or by phone with a proof of purchase. You will 'win your cause' with such an issue.
If you do a search here you'll find a posting in X6 section where someone else had the same problem. It was the temp file folder (%temp%). It was very much cluttered and when it was cleared and CDR was clean installed all is good but I wanted to see if anyone else had this problem. It seems that there are still users out there that done' practice good housekeeping with their computers.
I already thought such steps were taken since you mentionned a clean install was done.
