I can create new files and then subsequently open them. But when I try to open an existing file, the program just freezes, and has to be closed via task manager. I have another computer with the same version of coreldraw on it, and it does not have this problem. This is a brand new, highly specced laptop. 32 GB RAM, and a dedicated GPU. This problem only started a few days ago, and was working fine up until then.

To add, I have reinstalled the program multiple times, done registry cleans and deleting temporary files etc. Still no help.
Solved my problem. Actually got a hint from a similar question/answer posted 6 years ago. The font register and number of font files seemed to be the culprit. We had to reduce the number of fonts / font files on the computer, and remove the Corel Font Register manually. When Corel recreated the font register, it reported fewer fonts, and then everything worked again. Seemed CorelDraw 2019 likes somewhere less than about 400 fonts in the registry.
Can you share what you did as I have had no luck in finding it in the registry
