So I have a 6 page document. Pages 1-3 are nearly identical and pages 4-6 are nearly identical. All pages were able to export as TIFs no problem, but page 3 and page 6 just don't want to export for some reason. I tried to export as a JPEG and have the same story. I've tried duplicating the pages and putting just those 2 pages in a separate document in case the files were too big and causing issues. They still just wont export. The other pages I can still export as either file type as well.
I tried to close corel and got a bunch of error messages and actually had to "end Task" on task manager to get it to close. I restarted my computer and the issue persists, but there are less error codes when I go to close corel. I just get one and it still has to be forced to stop running with task manager. I did a repair as well and still it's the same. I don't remember what specific error messages from before but the consistent one says tasks are being performed in the background have failed and to check the status bar and the status bar doesn't seem to hold any relevant information.
No idea how I'm supposed to get these files to the printer now... What do you think could be going on?
Sounds like those two pages might have a corrupted element causing the export process to hang. Since other pages export fine, I'd try isolating elements on pages 3 and 6—copy everything into a new blank page but paste one section at a time to see what triggers the issue. Sometimes a damaged font or transparency effect stops Corel’s background rendering.
Also try converting everything on that page to curves or bitmaps before exporting. If there's a linked image, try re-importing it. Worst case, copy the page into a new document and rebuild it gradually—just duplicating the page doesn’t help if the corrupted element copies over too.
Yeah, That's a huge pain for sure! Typical Corel issue though in my experience, always some weird work around you gotta do...The funny thing is all of these are the same exact image power clipped/ cropped in different sections... I can save a PDF and that seems to work just fine. Just hope it prints the same as the others. if not I guess I'm gonna have to rebuild it like you mentioned and see if there's anything to fix along the way.
Thanks for the suggestions!
