Windows 11 - Snipping Tool

Hi all, recently installed Windows 11, and now when using the new built in Snip and Sketch tool I can no longer take the snippet off the clipboard and paste into Corel. I receive a message saying 'The specified data format is not available."

Anyone else experiencing this or know of a workaround?

The clipboard data happily pastes into basic software in the Microsoft suite and into Photoshop.

  • I see the same thing if I use Snip and Sketch in Windows 10, then try to simply Paste into CorelDRAW.

As a workaround, you could try using "Paste Special..." in CorelDRAW, then selecting "Bitmap" in the dialog that comes up. That works for me in Windows 10 with CorelDRAW 2020.

I haven't tried it in Windows 11, but in Windows 10, I use Greenshot. It's a great tool for capturing, editing, and saving screenshots.
