Every CAD software I've ever used as a quick and simple way to select all objects by color. So far I can't find any simple or initiative method to do this in CorelDRAW. Is there a way to simply select all objects using the same color? I don't want to Find and Replace, I just want to select all the objects of the same color. (in this example, I want everything that is drawn with a black line).
Surely there is a simple way of doing this? I've played around with the Find Object functions, but am getting nowhere with it.
It should be possible to use the Find and Replace docker to find everything that has an outline of a particular color.
You might also look at the "Select Same 3" macro that is available at macromonster.com, to see if that suits your needs.
Hi, The find and replace works well if you want to replace the color, but I just want to select them. Using the Find Objects tool and configuring it to select just a black outline results in a "no objects found" message.
I'm using the Find and Replace docker, and in a simple test I just tried, it worked for me for selecting objects by outline color (setting up the query and then using "Find All").
We would have to compare notes about how we're using the tools, and perhaps both try it on the same document. I have certainly seen some reports from some users of having trouble with this.
The Select Same macro I mentioned doesn't allow for such complicated queries as the Find and Replace docker, but I find it to be very convenient to use for some tasks.
I got the Find Objects to work. I was using CMYK colors in the docker and RGB in the document. Geez...
