Crashing when saving an EPS is a very problematic bug, right? Should be fixed quick, right? Should not even be present in a $699 program, right?
One year ago the bug: https://community.coreldraw.com/talk/coreldraw-graphics-suite-2019/f/coreldraw-graphics-suite-2019-for-windows/61602/does-your-coreldraw-2019-and-2020-closes-crashes-all-the-time
I tried the demo today, and it STILL. CRASHES.
Saving & exporting EPS (or jpg) crashes every single time, and even when I make sure I'm not saving before I export the autosave might be running so Coreldraw will crash - guaranteed!
Same happened with version 2019.....
I used every version since 3 in 1992 on a daily basis, never had this particular problem before.
Please fix it, it's driving me insane
Normally EPS works fine, so there is most likely something specific in your files that makes it happen. Not saying that crashes are acceptable but EPS is a format that is somewhat outdated (!) and many effects that we use today cannot be transferred to EPS without being converted or simplified.Draw should be able to handle it of course but apparently it doesn't in some cases.Try removing objects from your file and export, to see what kind of objects make Draw crash, then convert these objects prior to exporting, that's probably the only solution.Or, try PDF instead of EPS.Doesn't work or isn't acceptable you might say?Give it a try, after all, it's 2021 and the latest version of EPS was released in the early nineties.
it crashes even if it's just a circle on a blank canvas...
Cociccio, does your Coreldraw crash just when exporting as EPS? You're not saving the coreldraw file at the same time (or autosaving).
In my case that is what's happening, so as long as I'm not saving anything else then exporting as EPS works fine.
If it's always crashing, have you tried removing the ghostscript eps option from the Coreldraw installer, then re-installing it?
yes it crashes when i accidentally save at the same time of exporting
unfortunately i have a 20 years muscle memory "export+save" and that habit is hard to lose
