I want to create a gradient effect for the footwear sole design 1.as a whole (rf. file and img) or any other method to create a smooth transition. I am facing issues while creating 'uniform nodes'. Can anybody help here.
You know if you apply a mesh fill to a bitmap it was approximate the colours of the bitmap. So if you were to import a bitmap of a sole of a shoe, with nothing selected set your mesh fill to the amount of rows and columns you need then apply it to the bitmap it may well do what you need.
Thank you for the response. The sole design is not a bitmap. It's a vector; when I add no. of rows and columns to the design and try to edit to get a gradient design for the pattern created the nodes are not uniform and becomes complex for the desired effect. Thanks for the suggestion though.
Yes I know, but if you had a bitmap you can convert it into a vector by using the mesh fill tool.
Hello Hywel, nice to still see you here now and then.Is this feature working as good as it used to do?I gave it a try in 2020, and also 2018, but couldn't get a result that was anywhere near acceptable.I assume you have an older version installed that you can try and compare?
Hi Ronny,
I tried it in 2018 on a bitmap of some of the glass that we use and it worked OK.
OK, thanks.
