recently i had a total system failure.
so i got a hard drive sent to me me by my offsite backup with all my coreldraw files.
when saving a file, i always put info in the areas below the file name (Title, Subject, Rating) to help me find the file later.
when i try to locate a file on the supplied hard drive doing a search for a keyword saved in Title will show no results. However, if i take that same file and copy it to the C drive and do the same search it pops right up.
i have indexed the hard drive thinking that was causing the problem. nope, did not do the trick.
Any ideas? is there a setting i am missing?
I believe this is because Windows (7 64bit here) can't make use of this feature on a network drive. I seem to recall my frustration with my Synology NAS.
I might be wrong however.
