hi, my pdf file is bigger than original Corel document after publishing PDF with preset PDF/X-4:2010. I did everything like last time created PDF, but got different result. What's wrong?
Are you comparing the CDR file size to the PDF in Windows Explorer.
a few times before i used the same preset and had a lot less documents but something has changed even though i haven't changed the settings

A CorelDRAW file with images and transparency in will (in Windows Explorer) will show a smaller file size then the PDF.
If the file size is bigger after exporting in PDF with preset x-4:2010. something is wrong with software I think. It is not matter of Explorer. I worked with Corel for several years, and for the first time I have problem like this. Is there any solution to refreshing the software?
I never use PDF X anything but not knowing where you're reading the CDR or PDF file size makes it impossible to diagnose. I use the default press setting customized for the resolution required. It's the same as X4 except the PDF is not tagged as a PDF X4 file. I've been doing this for many years, I believe since version 9 in 1999. The difference in 99 was PDF didn't support live transparency then.
I use too default preset, but after exporting the file is not compressed in smaller file like in tutorial.
