Running the latest version of CorelDraw on Win 11 (this may be the issue?). But regardless of the image, if I try to add a Gaussian Blur, CDR instantly closes. Anyone else running in to this?
Have you installed all the latest updates for Windows? The latest version of Draw is 2022 you posted in the 2020 forum.
Win is up to date for sure. I checked for updates from within CorelDRAW and it said there were not updates available so I should be up to date on both.
Is it crashing every time you use the gassing blur?
Yes. It's pretty odd. I've been doing more testing here this morning and it looks like there are a handful of effects that don't seem to work, or crash CDR. For instance, radial blur works, but motion blur and gaussian blur crash CorelDraw. When I select one of those effects, the dialogue box pops up for a second or two and then the entire app closes. While testing, I also noticed that some other effects weren't working, like some of the texture effects, They wouldn't crash CDR but even after applying and adjusting parameters of the effect they did nothing to the object or image I applied it to.
I did some other testing here this morning as well. I'm having these issues regardless of whether I'm applying it to a vector object, JPG, PNG, or even an object I've converted to Bitmap in CDR.
I also found that I got the same results if I tried these effects in PhotoPaint. Dialogue pops up and PhotoPaint closes.
I probably just need to open a support ticket. I have a feeling it has something to do with Win11. I run CorelDraw on Win11 in Parallels on one of the new MacBook Pro M1's and I'm getting pretty good at finding problems.
I'm heading to my studio (it's down stairs) I hate the drive, today and I'll test but I know gassing works as I just used it two days ago.
What's up with these Mac users? I've replaced 7 for residential users and 2 for graphic shops with PCs just in the last 3 months. I don't own any is there some issue I should know about?
