I don't recall this happening before the upgrade. Now, after a while - and I can't pinpoint what triggers it - Corel just freezes. The icon in the task bar disappears ( just the graphic - the space is still there for it and I can see a little dot underneath it indicating that it's running) and I can no longer interact with the windows. Task Manager says that the it's not responding, at the document level. The only way to move on is to kill the task, in Task Manager. It hasn't happened, yet, while I'm in the middle of interacting with it. Usually I'll go grab some lunch, or something, and when I come back, it's not responding.
Task bar goes from this:

My apologies, but you cannot trust a brand-new Microsoft operating system. It's going to be another year or two before it is stable. Can you roll back to Windows 10?
I have lots of software from Corel, Adobe and Autodesk. From previous experiences I know that some apps will not work in new Windows or at least some will have something weird going on. So I decided not to upgrade yet. I will wait a year or something until everything is fixed and patched.
Unfortunately you're probably going to have to put up with this laggy behavior until some time early next year when Corel will likely release the next version of CorelDRAW. Maybe that one might be tuned to work better with Windows 11. Maintenance updates between whole version upgrades has been few and far between the past few years.I have a new Alienware X17 notebook and have Win 10 Pro loaded on it; I have no desire to upgrade to Win 11 any time soon. I've been waiting for months on a new Dell XPS desktop system to arrive to replace my aging work PC. This supply chain nonsense is really frustrating. When the thing arrives it will have Win 10 Pro pre-loaded on it. My shop has another system on order in the same configuration. I may have to order another system for another design station. Like the others, I'll likely order it from the "business" side of the web site where Win 10 Pro is still available. On the "home" side it's all Win11.Currently there Win11 provides little benefit over Win10. It's just a updated "shell." The most touted features of Windows 11 won't even roll out until some time early next year via a major product update.
Corel 2019 has practically stopped working for a few days now. It freezes and every now and then it works for a few seconds and freezes again. I bought the latest 2021 and the same thing is happening. Either it crashes completely or it freezes. No reinstallation or deletion of temp files or from the registry helps ... Anyone something? Windows 11.
@Worsey, I'm using those (primarily CDGS 2019 still, had used 2021 in some test demos, now using 2023 in similar test demos) on multiple Windows 11 systems with no current issues. I know that is not helpful to your problem, but it does indicate that CDGS (2019 - 2023) all at least CAN work with Windows 11. Diagnostically, this suggests there might be something else specific to your configuration that is causing the problems.
