When I open old (<2021) CorelDraw files in Draw 2021, the default view mode always seems to be "Multipage view" in Pages docker and all pages are visible on screen.I have a feeling it used to work (i.e. files opened in Single page view mode) in an installation of 2021 I had on another computer.Does anyone have a clue what could be causing it?FYI, new documents start in Single page view mode so the default is correct for new files. And files that have been saved from Draw 2021 in Single page view mode also opens in correct mode.Could it be a setting that I've missed, or is there something in an .ini file or in Registry that can be changed?Quite annoying.
Is it 2021 or 2021.5?
2021 with update 1, David, build 23.1.0.389.Spent a couple of hours trying to find the cause, and it appears to have been a corrupt workspace.Even though I couldn't find the exact part, I suspect it may have been the "Zoom relative to 1:1" setting.I have not been able to recreate it, neither with it off nor on, but I had difficulties getting it to be enabled, which I prefer. And I think it is likely something connected to zoom, pan or view, so...But I'm only guessing and we will probably never know for sure.Seems to work now and that is all that matters, this version is history now and won't get any more updates.Or maybe it isn't? Since it is the last version that could be bought as a perpetual license (except for the lucky few who upgraded to 2022 before they went subscription only), it may live forever.
Ok here's my thoughts, they're not going to help you but here it is.
I was going to suggest the problem may be a custom work space but one where it worked and it became unstable after a Windows update.
I have been finding Windows updates causing issues, especially with custom work spaces. One client has 2 systems one was updated and the other one was not. The updated one screwed up and other one worked until it was updated. Returning to default work space and rebuilding the same function in a new custom work space fixed it on both systems.
Yeah, Windows updates can be a real pain.I don't think there was anyone affecting this installation of Draw 2021 because it was done recently.
I get Windows malware and anti-virus updates once to three times a day. I get feature updates of various sizes once, sometimes twice a month. I get netframe update about every 6 weeks.
This update cycle has been fairly constant for over a year now.
The weird one is working on Draw or other programs and they just start acting weird. I minimize and see my desktop icons have lost the arrow, replaced by an X. I reboot and all is back to normal, this happens once every week or week and a half. I get an update the behavior goes away, four months later it returns and repeats the cycle.
