Hi
Quite suddenly, and for no reason I can discern, every time I use the rectangle tool the resultant shape has 3mm round corners. As soon as I change the settings to 0mm they revert to 3mm.
Thanks, Colin
You should be able to set the default roundness by activating the Rectangle tool, type "0" in the Corner radius boxes in Property Bar (without any object selected), and hit Enter.
Many thanks Ronnie. That did the trick. (I should have thought of that myself).
Still not sure why it defaulted to curved corners in the first place - just one of those Corel things we've all learnt to embrace and love I guess.
Thank goodness for people like yourself to steer us out of the darkness!
All the best, Colin
Glad it was an easy fix.A bit strange that we don't get a warning that we are changing the defaults, by altering the radius without any rectangle selected.

I agree that it is not consistent with other behavior in CorelDRAW.
It works the same way with Ellipse properties, e.g., setting it so that it creates a "pie shape" or an arc by default. It "silently" changes the default instead of displaying the warning with which we are so familiar:
