PDFs created in Canva imported into CorelDraw perfectly until 7 Feb 2024. All PDFs created since then say the file is corrupt when trying to pull it in to Corel. The PDFs work fine in all other software I have tried and PDFs created before the specified date work just fine in Corel. Has anyone had the same or similar issue and if so, have you found a solution?
It is a mix. Some customers use online, some use the app and some use the paid version. I have the paid version and have tried every possible combination of settings when exporting a PDF. Unfortunately Canva doesn't have much in the way of options. What I have managed to work out, is that it seems to have something to do with text or fonts. If I export a PDF with images only, it imports into Corel just fine. As soon as I have any text, the PDF will not import into Corel.
Check to see if the fonts that you're using are licensed for embedding?
It doesn't seem to make a difference which font is used. The same fonts worked fine before 7 Feb, but don't since. A plain white PDF with arial font gives the same "file corrupt" issue, but as soon as I remove the text, the PDF imports perfectly.
Wow! That's a new one. I have no idea, clearly Canva changed something.
I guess so. The annoying thing is that none of the other software I use has a problem with the PDFs - only Corel. Hence my hope in finding a solution from the CorelDraw side.
