Hi,
I'm trying to apply a fish eye lens on top of a photo, but it doesn't work.
All the other lenses will work, just not the fish eye.
Does anyone have any ideas?
I'm using draw 2024.
Thanks so much for any hints.
The oldest version of DRAW I have is 2021. Fish eye does not in this version either. Looks like Fish eye has not been working for several versions already. Hope Corel will fix it in the next version.
In PhotoPaint, if you open the New Lens dialog box and select 3D Effects/Sphere. The result looks like Fish Eye. Please try it. See if there result is what you are looking for.
Looks as you are right, it hasn't been working for several versions now.Worth noting is that the Sphere effect is in Draw too, in the Effects > 3D Effects menu. The Sphere effect affects the entire bitmap though, and doesn't always give the globe effect you are looking for. Here is an alternative way to create a better spherical globe effect, until they fix the lens:Create a circle (or ellipse or whatever effect you want) over the area where you want the "globe".Select the circle and then the bitmap, and use Intersect (Object > Shaping). This will create a circular bitmap (actually a masked bitmap) on top of the original bitmap.Select the circular bitmap and add the Sphere effect, and as you can see it creates a much better looking sphere than if you apply it to a rectangular bitmap.Delete the circle (unless you want to use it as a border). If you want to make it more realistic and smooth, add a small Feather effect (Effects > Blur) to the edge of the sphere.
