There was a bug in Corel 2023 with bitmaps that if it was rotated and you turned on Object Hinting it would get distorted. Is that bug still in 2024?
So this 2023 bug was with rotated transparent images, correct?
Nope. With all bitmap images. Transparent and non-transparent.
Before I dig into this two things.
Is this a display only issue or does it effect output?
Why do you need object hinting turned on?
It seems to be a display issue in Corel. If I try to print, the print preview looks correct and the output print looks correct. Just the display in Corel gets distorted. If you have artifacts with bitmaps touching there's a white seam between them. Object Hinting removes that seam. For example, a 10'w x 3'h banner with repeating wood texture, and you put a tilted can on top, turn on object hinting and the seams get fixed but then the can gets distorted. I haven't had an issue with previous versions.
What previous versions that didn't have the issue are you referring to?
I would say 2022 and earlier were no issues.
I tested 2018 and did not see the distortion that I see in 2024 with object hinting turned on, I however did see some other issues with rotated images both with and without object hinting turned on that 2024 does not have, interesting.
What does object hinting do for you?
