Hi
I have a e-commerce website where we sell engraved gifts.
For example beer glasses.
We have templates where buyers adds their personalised text and then we engrave the template and the text that customer have entered.
Like:
Line 1: Mr & Mrs
Line 2: Andersson
As it is today all data is saved into a mysql database.
And when we engrave the orders we open up the template cdr file for that product.
We copy paste the line 1 and line 2 text into the template and then we save the file as save-as so we get a new cdr file.
This cdr file we then send to the laserengraving machine and engrave the product.
Any one here have the skills and can help me (of course i pay for it) to automate this workflow:
Get this info from mqsql:
Order_ID
Product_id (so we know what template to use and extract the text into)
Product_option info (Like line 1, line 2)
Then out of this data create a cdr file where we have used the right template, and put in the data from the order_id, and then saved_as and there used the order_id number.
So that then file with the template and text are created itself.
Can this be done?
Really looking forward to hear from all CorelDraw gurus out there.

I send to you my first test for your request stuff, in zip file you will find a visual studio project for the custom docker, a cdr templates folder and a sql file, for comparation only.
You will needs change some paths in docker project,
VGCore reference path
MySqlConnector reference path
cdr templates path
you need change too the mysql connection string and tables name in query strings
this is only initial test.

ok great! No feed back, then i will going forwards by myself to next step.
First i goes transform my corel docker in a standalone application, this application will monitor data base and calls coreldraw in background in newers entrys, creating the files for all the orders
Hi. Sorry for not getting back to you. I took a look at your youtube video and it seems really nice. I have not had time to dig deep in it yet.
Can this application monitor the database and create files for the new orders.
AND look on the SKU number of the product in the order and use the CDR template that is associated with this SKU number. For example a product has SKU number 444. Then when we get order with this product/SKU number it uses the template associated with this sku.
Next order maybe is with a product that have sku number 555, so now we need to use the cdr template for sku 555.
And maybe the 3rd order have 2 products so now we will have to use both SKU 444 and SKU 555 template files.
Would this be doable?
Understand how i mean?
yes, i understand. in my exemple only want to show you a way of implementation, adjustments are required for a usable product
Great. Would it be easier for us to talk via email?
