So - i reinstalled everything when my CJV30-160 rasterlink died - when i got a new computer to run it from i lost finecut plugin so i reinstalled this to the computer (the computer is seperate to the printer & computer) so you connect through a network and usually output to a hotfolder.
When i click RL all the options come up as usual but no matter what folder i select it only saves it as an eps in the folder it doesnt actually open in the RIP as it did before (which the EPS wont drop into the rip at all)
I've looked at setting up a new hotfolder through printer management but no option for a folder comes up.
I've also looked a plotter setup through corel toolbar and noticed that the communication says not found under all options and everything is greyed out so i can select anything new to connect.
I'm completely at a loss whats wrong :(
We use a similar method here. Let's be sure I understand correctly.
We have 3 pc's. 2 graphics workstations without rasterlink or FineCut from which all design work is done and dropped into a hot folder for the 3rd pc. That 3rd pc is used as a RIP by our Print Tech. It has the FineCut plug-in to plot from.
Are you saying FineCut is good after re-installing but not RasterLink?
Is the Finecut machine connected to the printer via a nerwork?
Yes exactly. so basically reinstalled fine cut on my pc. All works as usual. But when I output to send it to the rip pc where the printers connected it’s basically not reading hot folder and it just saves my file as a print eps and a cut eps separate but neither are usable in the rip. I’ve tried to create new hot folders no luck. I reinstalled the printer but that’s now coming up with an error. I’m ring hybrid who we have a service contract with hoping that they can help remotely.
