Hi everyone,
just a little question - has anyone experience of the following resellers:
Ztech Software
and BuyCheapSoftware
They have very aggressive pricing; just short of being unbelievable. It's the "just short of" part of the sentence that's giving me pause for thought. The prices are plausible but I'm a cautious shopper. Anyone with any knowledge of them?
Best,
Paul
Hi, Paul.
The only common trait that these two organizations have, is that they are selling older versions of the software. And BuyCheapSoftware seems to have a lot of educational versions in stock. But, in any case, it looks like they bulk puchase any overstock of older versions of software and then sell it.
Personally, I have never dealt with either one of these organizations (nor any like them). I always purchase the latest version of any software that I am gong to buy.
Hello. Here is something about this...Posted to Gérard on Graphics by Gerard MetraillerOn behalf of the entire CorelDRAW team, I am very sorry for the inconvenience some users have experienced as a result of this error message and have been victims of software pirates. As posted in the forum earlier and as a general reminder, Corel and our authorized partners do not sell products at 50 to 90% discount, and amazing deals on auction or marketplace sites are rarely legitimate. If you find a price that seems too good to be true compared to the one listed on Corel.com or an authorized Corel reseller, please feel free to contact me directly so that we can take appropriate action.Full Read:http://community.coreldraw.com/blogs/gerard/archive/2010/06/02/error-24-details-and-an-offer.aspx
Hi Hugh,
yes, I was interested to note that the latest version of CDGS there is version X4, yet I was further surprised to note that the version of Adobe Creative Suite on sale there is version 5 - the latest one. So there's something more going on there on both sites than simply bulk-buying old versions. Interesting...
Thanks for your thoughts,
Hi Jesus,
that's interesting to see. It was the thought of piracy that gave me my pause for thought. Yet the discounts don't seem extreme enough on either site for the software to be simple pirate ripoffs. The prices aren't *quite* too good to be true but they're pretty darned close. I think I might mosey on over to the Mud Hutters forums as well to see if I can dig anything up there...
Well, there is no doubt in aggressive pricing offered by CorelDraw Reseller. Most Software Resellers provide discounted pricing and even their margin cut to customers so that they can increase the number of seats sold.
