Hi,
I am using a bona fide, but unregistered, version of CD 9 (!!!!) which I bought many years ago from someone I knew (just gave Customer Service the user code, but I think they wanted that as a part of the sales pitch - they were presuming that I would buy on the phone). I have the box, user manuals, and the CDs. VidMate
A little confused about the best options for purchase, so would appreciate suggestions, advice and help re.:
Should I buy the CAN $249 'Upgrade' version - unfortunately, getting the boxed version is $50 extra (and which, I think, is only a Back Up CD, according to what Customer Service told me on the 'phone)? word counter
Or, should I go with the full, stand alone $549?
I suspect that the "You are eligible for the $249 upgrade" is actually marketing, designed to look good in comparison to the $549 price, regardless of whether or not I had previous version of CD - they really were doing a hard sell on the phone, and it sounded a little sketchy. Am I wrong about this?
It would seem to me to be a waste of money for me to go with the annual (365 day) option, because I am not a professional designer and cannot deduct the cost of the package from my taxes, and also because two years of subscribing will equal the cost of the $549 option.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
They have to do something Bob, I think that REPAIRS are in order. RGB to LAB conversions and tone curves edits take 1/3 the time in 2018 because the dialog in 2019 is huge. You have to keep moving the dialog and or the image. Then the curve itself has serious control node issues. That's a mini discussion on one dialog and much the same can be said for many dialogs.
Times are changing, the number of graphics people producing substandard work is huge. By that I mean from a technical standard, I don't judge art.
Shadows that do not reflect lighting, color shifts, blurry transitions, billboards, web and print ads that can't be easily read. I'm getting complaints about legibility from clients in theirv30's, old farts like me need glasses but these kids don't. Stock photos and art that are amature.
One has to wonder if the future will have enough revenue to support professional level programs. That might be where Corel is stuck.
AFAIK you can only buy the upgrade if you have a registered previous version of CDR. There is no difference between the two otherwise unless you prefer the physical disk. You can just keep a version of the install files and reinstall whenever you need to,

Nope, Corel KILLED the Upgrade. Either you purchase FULL $499 US + tax or had purchased Upgrade Protection $99 US +tax before they KILLED the Upgrade (in ADDITION of $129 to $199 US +tax) Or you fall for the even worse scam of yearly Subscription, what $249 or so US +tax? There are monthly and maybe weekly pricing also, which I don't even waste my time with. What the hell.
From recent reviews I understand that the CD does not even have the program on it any more, only a "link" to the download. I don't think the disk matters at all.
So if you qualify for it, I would recommend you buy the upgrade while you can, download it, and also download all the bug fixes/updates. Keep those for the future, make plenty of backups, and you should be good to go. VidMate TeaTV Shareit
The annual option is OK only if you plan to use the program for a year or less. When it expires, you can't edit, print, or export your own work anymore using Corel.
CorelDRAW X4 is for me the best form. I really loved rendition 10 when it came out and it turned out extraordinary for me. Yet, presumably, X4 (14) is my #1 form. I have no uncertainty about this: X4 is the best of all. Home Appliances
And furthermore an adaptation update of X8 in most recent occasions. What will I pick and what might be the best one
