The pop-up messages are really sending me nuts! I get less of them from avira for using a product that is free. At least let me ignore future versions of messages I've read or take people who are part of the community, for who you have an email address, off the list!
It's not "marketing" anything to me but blistering arrogance about who owns this computer and the screen.
Yani, go to task scheduler highlight all Corel entries, should see 2 of them. delete and reboot.
Sorry click on task scheduler library to see them
right click the "windows (start)" button, bottom left
type task scheduler in the search bar on bottom
On the left side click task scheduler library and you will see the Corel items on the right side.
Highlight and delete.
I've been thinking about you today Mr Bob. What have you been up to?
I was thinking, I wonder if Bob is still using Sony Vegas or if you had found the love of DaVinci Resolve?
Hi Yani, Glad to hear from you. Been a very long time. How you been? Lost track of you when you were in Gaza.
Vegas is a great program and I have it for bigger jobs. I have been using Corel video studio for web related work, It is not expensive and is loaded with great features.
Surprised you can't kill the pop ups. Every time you update you have to delete the task scheduler. Works well here.
Talk care of yourself and stay safe.
Bob
I killed the popups. The opening screen of 2020 let's you turn them off.
I didn't get to Gaza. My 2 week holiday with friends end up with me in the West Bank for 3 months then in Jordan for another 3 months, waiting for my friend to arrive. I got there first but when my mate arrived she was cavity searched and deported. "I've got my solicitor on it, I'll be there in 2 weeks." Then "I've got 2 lawyers in the US and one in Israel on it, I'll be there in 2 weeks." I waited in the Middle East for 6 months.
This was a job. I was to document the Israel family of my friend. After what happened to her at the airport I laid low in the West Bank, well lowish where hanging out in a cloud of teargas taking photos is low. So I'm in Jordan... "I'm going into Syria with a UN aid convoy to Yarmouk camp. We have a bulldozer going in front of us to clear the road." Imagine the photos from that trip! My mate... "Hummm, I think it is time you went home. I'm not ring your mother to tell her you died in Syria."
All of which is pretty funny as my default is not to sit in a coffee shop alone and here I am in what is claimed to be a war zone on my own. I meet up with Facebook friends and Ahmad Ajlouny in Jordan. I highly recommend a trip to Jordan. And the West Bank, given the occupation since 1967 time is somewhat frozen.

Try Resolve, you will never use Vegas again. It's free up to UHD and the paid version isn't that expensive if you need the extra stuff like multiple graphic card GPU support, higher resolution, 3D and noise reduction.
Blackmagic Design is an Aussie dude, Grant Petty, a video engineer whose goal is to better support creatives. He started by just making some interface boxes. Now they are making some of the best video cameras you can buy and thrashing Adobe and everyone else in the video editing market. It's all about attitude. An attitude that Corel need to emulate, an attitude they had but lost along the way.
