Coming from a printing and other technical background. I am enjoying learning Corel.
However, running into some issues when working with actual jobs.
I hope somebody can help, already spent several hours doing researching the trying alternatives.
When I try to import certain PDF's I am getting "Invalie fil format" or the file looks corrupted (missing objects, out of place etc.).
I found an post that suggested opening the file in Acrobat Pro and saving as PDF Optimized. And that works.
My questions are:
Thank you in advanced!
What application created the PDF?
Hello David :).
Thank you for helping!
Not sure what application created the file, the person I receive this from, downloads it from another website.
Sorry for the limited information.
I will say that Corel Fusion opens the file perfectly fine. And if I save as under general setup. It'll export and look fine with other PDF readers. But still returns the same error in Corel Draw.
Same with Acrobat Pro, is I save as PDF, corel returns the same error. But if I save as PDF optimized, it opens up fine.
Fusion is rasterizing the content Draw does not do that.
So would the software raster as independent raster objects for use in the software, and then when saving output how they were before? (since after opening perfectly in Fusion, when you save, they are back at not opening in CorelDraw.
Now I'm wondering what would saving as PDF optimized in adobe pro do to change the file, so that it opens up perfectly in CorelDraw? When saving there is a dialog that says "Flattening transparent objects". Not sure if that affects the opening in CorelDraw. Trying to find the setting or change that makes it able to open so I can open in Corel, or purchase another software that will do it.
As single page image try save as in Fusion
Hi David, are you saying to save as an image format? I would still need to modify and work with the objects in Corel Draw. PDF optimized still lets me do that. I didn't find any other setting under PDF setup edit in save as or in preferences.
