Just purchased Corel 2020 and have discovered the extrude option does not interact with the object. With past versions, I would select the extrude docker, click on the object and begin making choices for my extrusion. I can't get the docker to interact. In my past versions there was available "Edit/Apply" as options, but this version doesn't have those.
They changed the way this works in CorelDRAW 2019.
I think you have to use the Extrude tool to apply the extrusion. After the extrusion exists, the Extrude docker can be used to modify it.
I am not expressing approval for this change; just describing how it seems (to me) to work now.
