Hi all,
I will soon be starting with Corel for a new business (never used it before) and need to buy a computer that is suitable. With so much out there and unsure of what specifications are ideal its tough to know. I would set a maximum budget of £1000/$1.400(US) but preferably less.
I just don't really want to buy a machine and later find out its not good enough.
Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions
The choice of hardware really depends on how you'll use the software. CorelDRAW doesn't require top of the line hardware for most general purpose graphic design use. High end gaming rigs or Xeon-based workstations are arguably overkill. On the other hand $1400 will buy only so much in terms of a new desktop computer tower, not counting the monitor. For a modern PC running Windows 10 I wouldn't buy anything less than a tower equipped with a 10th or 11th gen Core i7 CPU, at least 32GB of RAM, a good M2 PCI-Express SSD and a decent nVidia video card.
Is AMD recommended? I see it listed on the specifications.
thanks for this...all is quite complicated to me. The designs will be quite basic and won't really be for any high tech stuff (i don't think), but i will search in line with your recommendations, thanks
are these specs for CoralDraw?
The newest AMD Ryzen CPUs should work fine. However, CorelDRAW is not much of a multi-threaded application, so the main advantages the best Ryzen CPUs have over the best Intel CPUs would not translate into benefits for CorelDRAW.
