I've been using Coreldraw for some years and now can't access the point to point line function, it doesn't show in the options on my screen. Is it possible that I've disabled the function? If so, any guidance as to how I can get it working again. It's a pretty important function! Thanks Stephen
Are you referring to the 2-Point Line tool?
Hi Eskimo
Thanks for the response. Yes, when I select the line options, the 2-Point Line option is missing. I have been using the program for 6 years and one day it was there, then gone! I may have accidentally removed it from the listing. Do you know if this is possible, and, if I've done this, can it be recovered. I guess the other option is my program is corrupted which probably means I will have to pay for a new copy of Coreldraw. Apologies for the delay in responding, I'm in Australia. Thanks in anticipation
Stephen

CorelDRAW allows a great deal of workspace customization, and yes, it is possible to remove a command, or to move it to a different toolbar or menu.
I recorded a video where I intentionally do that by holding the Alt key while clicking and dragging the command.
After doing that, I go to Options>Workspace>Commands, find the command for 2-Point Line, then drag and drop to add it to that flyout.
Another thing that you will often see recommended for dealing with workspace problems is to hold down the F8 key when starting CorelDRAW, which will give you the option to have the workspace overwritten with the factory Default workspace. The downside of doing that is that you lose any workspace customization you may have done!
Thanks enormously for your assistance. My program is structured a bit differently from your example, as these things go. I attempted to get the 2 point line back into the line grouping on the Toolbar, but wouldn't show up, who knows why. I have however added the 2 point line as a separate item on the Toolbar so I can access it draw all the straight lines I like. Thanks again, for being alert, and keeping an eye on questions, and rescuing those of us who don't always, or don't often master these things.
I'm glad that got the 2-Point Line tool back for you!
CorelDRAW allows a tremendous amount of workspace customization, but it is not necessarily intuitive, and some of the drag-and-drop stuff can be fiddly to work with.
If you do a significant amount of customization, then it is good to become familiar with how to manage workspaces - how to create a new workspace based on another one, give it a name, switch between workspaces, etc. If you ever get into trouble - for whatever reason - then that can give you a path back to something that works, without being forced all the way back to factory defaults.
