Hi Corelians!
I'm in need to convert my CorelDraw splines into arcs in preparation to export my artwork only as DXF or DWG format for a laser cutting machine XYZ format proprietary software to better control speed in my spline areas which helps with more clean controlled cuts. I'm told arcs helps much like driving a car. When you see a curve up ahead you prepare to slow down your speed to control your car better around that curve. This laser software recognizes the arcs in that manner.
Any help is deeply appreciated.
Aloha from Hawaii!
Convert to curves.
Hi Myron,
Thank you for your reply. I create my art using curves (splines) which looks very clean in CorelDraw (using latest version) much like your "to this" line. However, it's when I export from Corel saving my art to a DXF and I open my art in my CAD proprietary software that I see my lines change to your "from this" line you've provided. After researching the internet it appears to be a problem for many folks. I was introduced to DraftSight software which can solve the problem but I was just wondering if a solution was available in CorelDraw before I purchase DraftSight.
Thanks for reaching out to us with your help.
