I am creating a 100 page document and sometimes pages move around i.e. when I re-open document next day page 63 has jumped to page 65, why is this happening, this has happened quite a few times.
I saw this same scenario some time back. I don't do more than one page at a time so it hasn't been a problem for me but I can see where it can be. I offered a solution to use a macro to alphabetize pages. First you start with all the pages in the correct order then you proceed to rename the pages. Since you have more than 26 you have to get pretty creative. If by chance the pages are out of order again just run the macro.
Thanks Myron, I am only a novice user of corel so am unable to create macros, it happened again this morning when I opened my document at least 10 different pages had jumped to the next page, it is very frustrating.
Right click on the page tab and rename. Simply 1+period (1.) so Page 1 becomes "1:1." If they get out of sort go by the 2nd number only. You might see something like "2:1." That's really page 1. If that's the case just run the macro. You could drag the macro shortcut to the toolbar or create a keyboard shortcut to it.
Sub AlphbetizePages()Dim i As Integer, j As Integer With ActiveDocument.Pages For i = 1 To .Count - 1 For j = i + 1 To .Count If IsNumeric(.Item(i).Name) And IsNumeric(.Item(j).Name) Then If CDbl(.Item(i).Name) > CDbl(.Item(j).Name) Then .Item(i).MoveTo j .Item(j - 1).MoveTo i End If Else If UCase(.Item(i).Name) > UCase(.Item(j).Name) Then .Item(i).MoveTo j .Item(j - 1).MoveTo i End If End If Next j Next i End WithEnd Sub
Thanks Myron, I will give it a go.
