Are there any keyboard combinations to resize capture area using arrow keys?
You might look at using Greenshot for screen capture.
In addition to being a great screenshot tool in many ways, it allow use of the arrow keys for specifying the capture area.
Here is a link that might be useful: Greenshot Help.
Once again thanks! A 30 yr old very basic app 'MWSnap' still works and allows arrow keys to move both corners of the selected area; ShareX will do the same; FastStone also has this feature. I have not tried GreenShot but maybe it will also. I was really hoping Corel Capture would have arrow key control ...to keep it all in the same family!!
Thanks again for always responding.
Another long-time Corel user made me aware of Greenshot a few years ago. After trying it, I no longer even install Corel Capture. Greenshot is just so much better in so many ways.
I was unaware that Greenshot could use the arrow keys until I read your post, so I learned something new about it today!
With Greenshot, can you toggle between opposite corners of the capture to re-tweak both corners? or just the last active corner? ShareX allows repeated switching corners until you are satisfied using:
Ctrl + Arrow keys: Resize current shape from bottom right corner
Alt + Arrow keys: Resize current shape from top left corner
In Greenshot, arrow keys can be used when defining both the start and end corners, but I am not aware of any ability to keep switching back and forth between corners when tweaking the region to be captured.
By the way, I changed the link In my earlier post so that it points to the official Greenshot help page.
