Paint tool

How can i draw a straight line with the paint tool, the click, then press shift key and click where you want the line concept does not work like in photoshop

  • In CorelDRAW, the Paint tool doesn’t work like Photoshop where you click once, hold Shift, then click again to force a straight brush line.

If your goal is a straight stroke, here are the options that actually work in CorelDRAW:

    Option 1
Use the Straight Line tool (you’ll find it under the Freehand tool).
Click once to start the line, hold Shift, then click at the end point.
This will give you a perfect straight line every time.

    Option 2
Use the Freehand tool, draw the line normally, then select the object and convert it to a stroke style you want in the Properties panel.
This is useful if you want a painted look but still want a precise line.

    Option 3
If you are working in Corel PHOTO-PAINT instead of CorelDRAW, then Shift-straight-line works only with some tools. The Paint tool usually needs either the Straight Line mode enabled or a different tool that supports straight segments.

So the function is available, but it depends on using the right tool or mode for straight strokes.
