Trouble Importing SVG/Web Graphics into CorelDRAW Without Losing Quality

Hi everyone,

I’m having difficulty importing SVG and other graphics from a website into CorelDRAW without losing quality or specific effects.

Here’s my situation:

  • I’m designing marketing materials in CorelDRAW 2025.

  • I often get vector assets from our website in formats like SVG, PNG, and WebP.

  • When I import certain SVGs into CorelDRAW, some elements (especially gradients or clip paths) don’t render correctly.

  • When I convert the same SVG using external tools (Illustrator, online converters), the file sometimes appears differently or loses detail.

What I’ve tried:

  • Importing SVG directly via File > Import in CorelDRAW.

  • Saving SVG from the browser and editing file text (e.g., simplifying paths).

  • Converting SVG to PDF/AI before importing.

  • Checking SVG specification details visually in code.

Questions:

  1. Are there any CorelDRAW settings or import options that preserve advanced SVG features like gradients and masks?

  2. Is there a recommended workflow for preparing web-based vector graphics for use in CorelDRAW?

  3. Are there known SVG compatibility issues with CorelDRAW that I should be aware of?

Thanks in advance for any tips!
