I have just started having troubles with smoothing items. I go and smooth the lines etc, export like normal however when I reopen it the font is more jaggered than before. I was only getting smoothing out small nodes as my CNC router picks them up and now they have more nodes. I cant fix it. I try it again and its even worse and font gets smaller.
I been doing this for months but today its not working properly. Any help is appreciated.

I am confused with your question. How are you smoothing a font. I think you are converting the text to curves and then smoothing it. In that case it is the graphic that is jaggered and not the font or text. Correct me if I am wrong. I hope you are referring to the output and not just a jaggered display on screen. If the display is jaggered then you might have to check if the view is set to Normal or draft. Try setting it to Enhanced mode.
