Need help with a font. When I use the font Ferrum, there is supposed to be a tail on the capital Q. I can see it in the font preview, but it will not show up on my workspace in Corel. It will show up in Word so I know it is not the font. Even if I type it in Word and copy paste, it still does not show up in Corel.??? The first Q is how it is supposed to look. The second is how it displays in Corel. Any ideas?
those options are OpenType features, you cna enable with the Text tool, (you will se a small arrow or triangle underneath the text, or oyu can use the Text docker (Ctrl+T)
I suspect that it is a problem with how CorelDRAW displays that font.
Here are some discussions of similar problems:
Cut off text/font in selection. Cannot access Open type/alternate features.
Certain font's do not display below the baseline?
Font Issue
What I see with Ferrum in CorelDRAW:
A number of uppercase letters are affected by the "clipped on the bottom" problem.
If I zoom in very, very close, it displays correctly.
If I am using it as Artistic text, then using Wireframe view allows the full outlines of that font to be seen.
The content will still print or publish to PDF correctly.
If I Convert to Curves in CorelDRAW, then the result looks correct. That may or may not be useful to you, depending on what you need to do with the text.
