Add me to the list of disgruntled CD photo paint users. Cut out lab keep crashing. I've tried to work with CD support level 1, 2 and I think 3 to no avail. They just advise the developers are aware. I pay a subscription and seem that whatever portion of my subscription pay is applied to photo paint is a total waste and merely a gift to CD developers.
I am not a trained graphic designer and a self taught CD user. Is there another software comparable to photo paint and somewhat user friendly?
Take a look at Corels paintshop pro...not expensive and plays quite well. Myself I use Photoshop daily in my work and to me it rocks, however, it is quite expensive to purchase. Most of my work is web and programming and PP does not cut it for me.
I agree with you, PP needs lots of help and love.
What version of the operating system are you using?
Windows 7 on my laptop and Windows 10 on my desk top. Have used CD PP on the laptop for 2 years and upgraded to CD graphic suite 2017 on both several months ago. Cut out lab was working fine on both until few weeks ago.
I like Photopaint X6 plus PaintshopPro 2018.PhotoPaint X6 is rock solid; great for user interface; no unwanted docking or resizing, etc.PaintshopPro fills in with Magic Fill and a few other tools. The last few versions of PaintshopPro had these tools.
