I was seeking a way to apply a certain effect to uneven surfaces, like those of clothes, and found that Photoshop has tools that can be used to achieve that result: Liquify and Displace.Does Photo-PAINT have equivalent tools?TIA.
Yes...choose Effects>Distort>Displace
You will need to have a .BMP image prior to doing the displacement. Simply save the bitmap to the directory the effects are located in.
Thanks, Mike. It works with .BMP only or I can apply it to .PNG and other formats?
I believe only .bmp's, but feel free to try! I tried .cpt's and that didn't work!
Mike, I found this 2012 tutorial here in the CorelDRAW Community:CorelDRAW Master, Maurice Beumers shares tips to understand the Displace Effect in Corel PHOTO-PAINTI'm still struggling to understand those concepts, like bump maps. My CorelDRAW suite is in Brazilian Portuguese, which makes it a bit more difficult for me. But the clue you gave me was of great help, because I was literally clueless! As to image formats, in that tutorial the author says he saved "the Displacement Map file as a JPEG".Besides, I found this Corel Paint Shop Pro help page about the same effect. I wish there was one of these for PHOTO-PAINT.
