Please, fellows, help me with that!I need an effect that makes one image borders fade smoothly to another image like this:
I searched for hours and the closer I could get was this CorelDRAW tutorial. It shows how to merge two images, but not the way I want.
I tried CorelDRAW's Blend, Lens, Transparency, Interactive Fill and several effects in Photo-PAINT TNA.Is there a way to do that with Photo-PAINT?TIA.
Like this?
Myron, the effect I need is almost like that. Now imagine that the image with the flowers is over an image of a lawn. Instead of fading to black, the flowers image should fade to show the lawn image.
Myron, do you mind if I send you the images I want to merge by email?I have them one over the other without any effect, like this.▼NB: I don't want you to do the work for me, I just want you to get the idea and, of course if you feel like, teach me how to do that.My latest try was with Calculations, but I haven't got any closer to that effect.
Oops, got busy.
All done within draw. Two images on top of the other. Select the inner image or top and go Bitmap/Creative/Vignette - choose circle and play around with the offset and fade sliders.
That's with X7 not sure how much has changed since
I tried that with DRAW 2017 and I didn't get the same effect you got. The vignette fades not to a transparency, but to white or black or other color I choose. In your image it seems to fade to transparent.▼But I copied the top image, opened it from the clipboard in Photo-PAINT (it opened with transparent background), applied the vignette effect, then copied the image now with the effect I wanted, and pasted it over the bottom image in DRAW itselt. Success, finally! You gave me the perfect clues to get there. Thanks again! You're the man!▼
Yeah, guess I assumed the images were already transparent. Glad you figured it out.
Happy to help in any way I can
